From the President

With only days to go before ACICS institutions submit their annual reports of institutional effectiveness and financial stability, it is important to acknowledge that never have the expectations been so high, or the opportunities so direct. Submission of the annual Campus Accountability Report (CAR) by November 1 and the audited Annual Financial Report (AFR) (six months after fiscal year close) provides the Council the opportunity to review and consider the performance and financial challenges facing our colleges and schools in the current environment. Many aspects of the annual reporting requirement have become more complex, while the benchmarks of excellence have been ratcheted upward.

Important information about the 2013 CAR is available at www.acics.org/accreditation. The reminder highlights the key changes from previous CAR submissions and clarifies the mechanics and expectations. Look for more information in the coming weeks about the process and timeframes for review of the 2013 CAR data.
