Thoughts and Prayers to Those Affected by Hurricane Harvey

Having recently relocated from the areas being affected by Hurricane/Tropical Storm Harvey; my heart is heavy as I talk with family and friends in Texas and Louisiana and learn first-hand of the damage that this storm has inflicted on so many. I am comforted by the reports of neighbors helping neighbors; as I have seen this same show of support first hand after 12 years of Hurricane seasons while living in Louisiana.

On behalf of the Council and staff at ACICS, we wish to extend our sincerest concern and compassion for the many institutions, students, faculty, and staff that have been affected by this horrible disaster.  We have received reports that many suffered severe water damage to their homes and have been displaced indefinitely; while we have yet to get a sense of the damage any of our campuses may have sustained.  While rain continues to fall, water continues to rise; the most difficult part will be the assessment of damage and the path to recovery for many people.

We ask you to keep all of those affected by this unprecedented event in your thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,

Michelle Edwards
