Become an ACICS Program Evaluator |
ACICS is seeking qualified individuals who will serve as evaluators of programs in the areas listed below. Evaluators are reimbursed for visit-related expenses incurred. In addition, program specialists receive a $150 honorarium each visit day. Evaluators must posses five years' experience in their area of expertise.

The Evaluator Training Workshop is a one-day workshop that provides a discussion of the role of the evaluator during an ACICS accreditation visit. Speakers will focus on visit planning, processes and procedures in conducting institutional evaluations and writing the evaluation report. The workshop is designed for new evaluators who have at least five years of program work experience in a technical, educational or vocational field. There is no registration fee to attend this workshop; however you must register in advance to attend. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.

Advanced Evaluator Training

The Evaluator Re-Training Workshop is a half-day workshop that will focus on the best practices of ACICS evaluators with a goal toward refreshing and upgrading the skills of current ACICS evaluators. The re-training provides a review and discussion of the role of the evaluator during an ACICS accreditation visit. Speakers will focus on the best practices of visit planning, processes and procedures in conducting institutional evaluations and writing the evaluation report. There is no registration fee to attend this workshop, however, you must register in advance to attend.

Special Session:
Distance Education Evaluator Training
Dates and Locations TBD
The special two-hour Distance Education Evaluator Training session provides a discussion of the unique role of the distance education evaluator during an ACICS accreditation visit. To attend this special session, participants should have attended an Evaluator Workshop in the past. Additionally, to evaluate distance education activities, participants must have at least three years experience evaluating, teaching, or training in an online environment. There is no registration fee to attend this special session; however, you must register in advance to attend. |
