Information to Help Plan Your Participation

Registration

The workshop registration fee includes all workshop materials, continental breakfast and lunch. Registration fees do not include transportation or hotel accommodations. The registration fee must accompany the registration form and will not be processed without it. You will be registered for a workshop only when you receive a confirmation letter from ACICS. Payment may be made by check or credit card. Checks should be made payable to the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools. Please note that you must attend the entire workshop in order to receive your certificate of attendance.

There is a maximum number of participants who may enroll in each workshop. It is important to register early to ensure a space at the workshop of your choice. If the workshop reaches maximum enrollment, you will be contacted and given the option of being placed on a waiting list. As opportunity to obtain workshop materials in an alternative format will be provided for disabled individuals attending the workshop. Advanced written notification to ACICS is required.

Confirmation
A confirmation letter will be sent via email within two (2) weeks after the registration form and payment have been received. If you have not received a confirmation letter, you are not officially registered. Please do not make hotel or airline reservations until you have received a written confirmation from ACICS. Please contact the Council office if you send a registration form with payment but do not receive a confirmation letter. Please allow two (2) full weeks to receive a confirmation letter before contacting the Council office.

Cancellations or Substitutions
If you enroll in a workshop and cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another individual or cancel. You may not transfer your registration to a future workshop. All requests for cancellations and substitutions must be made in writing. A full refund of your workshop registration fee will be granted if written notice of cancellation is postmarked no later than seven (7) days prior to a workshop. Cancellation requests postmarked within the seven days prior to the start of a workshop will receive a full refund less an administrative fee of $100. All refunds will be issued after a workshop has concluded. No refund requests will be honored for registrations canceled after the workshop has taken place.

What is the Attire?
The attire for the workshops is business casual. Please remember that meeting room temperatures do not feel the same for everyone. You may want to bring a light sweater should meeting room temperatures be too cool.
